Great gig on Friday. Although journey there was a real PIG. Stuck on M25 for over an hour which meant we didnt get to the venue untill gone 7.

Really showed Tamworth how to perform Paul Weller Songs. Plenty of Fire and Skill. Richard and Ray seemed to really enjoy performing with us. Hopefully we can do it again sometime or we could return the favour with one of us helping them out if they need to fill a short notice gig.

Journey back was a easy but long drive. HOW MANY ROAD WORKS ARE THERE!!!!!!! Plenty!!! Toby was asleep all the way back to Aldershot and John crashed at about 1:30. Lee was great though, everyone should have a Jibba Jabba on a long night trip to make sure you stay awake!!

Last minute booking just in. Somewhere in Birmingham.

Looks like the Modfathers have pulled out of a gig so we are stepping in to help the venue. Great.

We have had to dig deep with musicians though. Phil is on holiday so we are using the Drummer from The Modfathers. Cool. Toby and Lee on Guitar and possibly Neil is going to be available for keys.

Should be a good un.

Great News.

Searching for Paul Weller on Google puts the 'Wellalive - The Original Paul Weller Tribute' website in the middle of the third page. This is fantastic. Not another tribute site anywhere near this.

I have just heard the shocking news about John Weller, who passed away this morning.

Paul must be absolutely devistated. I am sure that without him Paul would never have been as successful as he is.

I would like to send heart felt condolences to the Weller family on their very sad loss.

I am feeling a bit better now. I have just found that a search for weller tribute brings us the top of the list above the modfathers. This is good. I guess Ill just keep adding those links, and gigs, and band listings everywhere.

Wellalive - The Paul Weller Tribute band website was started in early 2004 (5 years ago) and up untill the end of last year we had the number 1 and number 2 slots on google when a search was done for paul weller tribute now The Modfathers have 1, 2 AND 3 slots and Wellalive have been pushed back to possition number 4.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the last week I have been frantically adding in links to Band and Gig listing sites in an effort to get our number 1 slot back. After all we are the Original Paul Weller Tribute (See previous BLOG).

Hi

Mark here from Wellalive - The Original and Biggest Paul Weller Tribute Band.

Why are we the original? Well that would be because we started in 2003. The only other tribute bands around at that time were either concentrating on The Jam, or Paul Weller Solo. Wellalive started from the beginning to tribute Paul Wellers entire career. There are now many other Full Tribute bands but we feel that we are the biggest.

Why are we the biggest. Simple. We are the only tribute that can boast 8 members

Johhny - Vocals
Georgia - Backing Vocals
Mark - Bass
Moggy - Guitar
Phil - Drums
Toby - Guitar
Neil - Keys
Lee - Guitar

We are also the only Paul Weller Tribute that can boast to having a dedicated backing singer. All this gives us a really big, full sound.
